Rocky

Developed by Dinamic of Madrid, Spain, this boxing simulator had an official release as “Rocky” before the lawyers came calling and it was quickly renamed to “Rocco”. Why Ian Stewart and Gremlin didn’t opt to buy what must have been a money-spinning licence is unsure, especially as the game went toe-to-toe with Elite Systems’ rival Frank Bruno’s Boxing.

The Amstrad port as seen in the inlay scan was converted by Christian Urquhart with assistance from Dollarsoft’s Richard Stevenson and Phil Durbidge.
