The Cream Crackers The Cream Crackers

One of the products of the Sheffield’s Just Micro shop was a group of young programmers who called themselves “The Cream Crackers”. They didn’t make games, but instead created standalone demonstration programs for the Commodore 64 computer showcasing their programming, artistic and musical skills.

    Damn i just loved them days when just use to pop down to Just Micro on carver street and meet and chat to all mentioned above - Still watch Demo's on Pc from the day ( Mega Jive 1 & 2 ) We need to meet up !

    They were exceptionally good coders and graphics artists. Too bad they never got involved with game development. They sure knew the C64 hardware and programming tricks of the day - and may even have invented some of their own. One of my favourite demos back in the day.
